Updated on Sept. 3 at 12:24 p.m. ET — User error reports for ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude are dropping on DownDetector, and some social media users report the morning's AI outages have mostly resolved. However, as of this writing, the OpenAI status page still reports "degraded performance." OpenAI's latest update states, "We have applied the mitigation and are monitoring the recovery."
Anthropic's status page reports that the Claude outage has ended: "The issue affecting Claude Mythos 5.1, Claude Fable 5.1, and Claude Opus 5 has been resolved. Impact has ended as of 9:16 PT / 16:16 UTC." More here
