Who are we?
Bridge Head AG (“we”, “us”, “our”, “ToucanTech”) is a company registered in Switzerland (company number CHE-317.039.443) with its office at Sulzbergstrasse 34, 5430 Wettingen, CH. We service customers internationally but use Swiss law as our governing law and abide by EU data protection legislation.


What do we do?
Bridge Head provides a cloud-based community database and website which organisations use to manage a range of communications and administrative activities. The Bridge Head system has been built with careful consideration to data management and security, in terms of both the functional design of the product and our processes for handling data by ToucanTech.

ToucanTech is registered with the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) - reference ZA050337 - as a data processor to run our customers' databases and as a data controller for their own sales, marketing and customer support data.

Your data is stored on a dedicated, secure cloud server hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the EU with Industry standard firewalls, anti-virus, encryption and back-up methods in place, as well as strict data handling protocols.

We always ensure only authorised persons have access to your information, which means only our approved employees and contractors, and that everyone who has access is appropriately trained in data management. 

No data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. So, whilst we strive to safeguard your information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you provide online and you do this at your own risk.

 

Who has access to your information?

• Members of the Bridge Head team who have access to our company database and operational systems
• Toucantech, Web hosting, email hosting, analytics and search engine providers that enable us to run and improve our website and its use
• Digital marketing partners that enable us to run marketing and communications campaigns
• Third parties if we run an event in conjunction with them
• Third parties in connection with restructuring or reorganisation of our operations, for example if we merge with another business. In such event, we will take steps to ensure your privacy rights will be protected by the third party.

We select our third-party service providers with care. We provide these third parties with the information that is necessary to provide the service and we will have an agreement in place that requires them to operate with the same care over data protection as we do.


Overseas disclosures
When providing a specific service, it may be necessary to disclose personal information to third-party service providers or partners located outside Switzerland, EU and the United Kingdom to provide our services, operate our systems, deliver communications, or run events. Overseas recipients are likely to be located in member states of the European Union, the United States, and other countries where our service providers or partners operate.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that any overseas disclosure of personal information is subject to appropriate safeguards, so that personal information continues to be protected in a manner consistent with applicable data protection laws, including through contractual protections or recognised data transfer mechanisms where required. How we handle privacy complaints 
If you are not happy with the way in which we have processed or dealt with your information you can make a complaint to us by emailing info@sig-switzerland.ch. We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within a reasonable period (usually within five business days) and investigate the matter. We will take reasonable steps to resolve the complaint promptly and fairly and will inform you in writing of the outcome of our investigation, generally within 30 days of receiving all relevant information.

If we require further information from you to investigate your complaint, we will let you know as soon as practicable. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to escalate your complaint to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) - further details can be found here.
