Almost 10 years old, I strongly recommend the book "Weapons of Math Destruction: How Big Data Increases Inequality and Threatens Democracy" written by Cathy O'Neil.
The algorithms incluencing our loans, our jobs, our insurances - our lives - aren't neutral - are opinions dressed up in (incomprehensible) math.
Even with a decade on it's back, Cathy O'Neil's book is more actual then ever, and hit's the nail when it comes to some of the downsides of todays AI. If published today, the book title would be shorter "Book: Weapons of Math Destruction: How AI Increases Inequality & Threatens Democracy"
